Image 2 During the 1990's I found workshops held by the Newmarket Art Group really helpful. They were a regional group of the Society of Equestrian Artists and allowed wonderful opportunities to visit and sketch at studs, training yards, Tattersalls and on the gallops, all with expert tuition.
These sessions were pivotal in my artisitic journey as I was encouraged to explore a painting rather than a drawing medium to allow me more versitility and to achieve more with colour. I have found that transferring to acrylic paint has been very important and set me on a new and exciting artistic path.
"Tempus Fugit" (one of the riders is looking at their watch) is on the gallops Warren Hill with Newmarket in the background.
