Okapi's are very strange animals, moving very slowly and quietly and looking as if they have been made from parts of other animals. They have a Zebra like striped back end, and then a Giraffe like long neck and blue tongue to which they are related. 
 
From my original acrylic painting where it was quite a challenge to capture the amazing velvety texture of their coat.
