A pair of Suffolk Horse stallions greeting each other from neighbouring paddocks. There is a certain tenderness in this greeting, I waited for the squeal, but it didn't happen as they knew each other well.
This design is from my orginal pastel. I just had to paint this brief moment where the older horse on the right appears to be passing years of knowledge to the younger one on the left. A very poignant scene.
